| Every Skinny Lincolns
show, whether overtly or covertly, uncovers pieces of the human
condition by throwing comedic actors blindly into impossible
situations while the audience watches them dig, crawl, swim,
claw, bounce, or even fly their way out. Survival is NEVER guaranteed,
in which fact audiences seem to revel and delight. The situations
are up to the audience while the choices and magic are mainly
up to the actors. Every now and then the MC will throw an additional
wrench into the mix. Welcome to our world...the world of theatrical
improvisation.
The Skinny Lincolns perform currently, Fridays
and Saturdays at Historic Draper Theater (12366 South 900
East in Draper) The Skinny Lincolns also take the show on
the road.
The Skinny Lincolns also perform written comedy
sketches and pieces where we take ourselves into humorously
problematic situations and force our characters to struggle
their way out, some breaking in the process.
So if you wondering what our shows are like, just imagine
'Whose Line is it Anyway' (1) and 'Saturday Night Live' (2)
or 'Mad TV' (3) fused harmoniously into an energy-popping,
fast-paced, hilarious, LIVE-comedy show and you've got the
Skinny Lincolns. And believe me, around here, there's nothing
else like it!

(1) 'Whose
Line is it Anyway' is an improvisation comedy show hosted
by Drew Cary on ABC. Improvisation is the process of making-it-up-as-we-go
based on suggestions and interplay with the audience.
(2) 'Saturday
Night Live' is something that you certainly should have
heard of at some point. We do original comedy sketches which
are very funny short character sketches, or songs, or other
conventional or unconventional performance pieces
(3) 'Mad
TV' is Mad Magazine's and Fox's answer to 'Saturday Night
Live' and quite honestly, often has much better writing than
'SNL'
