Acting as a German Soldier
Lincoln has played World War II German soldiers in several films. His father is from Germany, and Lincoln grew up having German spoken in the house. He has spoken German and English with a German accent in several films and voice-overs.

Historical Accuracy
Ever since his original research for the film The Last Good War in 1999, Lincoln has continued studying WWII and military history.
He spent weeks researching and interviewing his living relatives who fought on the German side in WWII. These interviews informed and filled-out his life in these roles.
Lincoln's grandfather fought both in Europe and Russia as a non-nazi German Soldier in WWII, until he was killed in action on the Russian front.
Lincoln has been in several WWII battles on film and has been squibbed also. He has been trained in several WWII and modern day weapons.
